I have never written a letter to the editor of any newspaper for any reason. I should correct myself because
I have actually written a few letters but always backed out of sending them for one reason or another.
This all changed when I read my Post-Gazette on Sunday, August 8, 2004. An editorial writer had
this to say about Larry Fitzgerald's recent contract signing and departure from the University of Pittsburgh.
Well, I just could not let that one slide uncontested.
I wrote the following letter to the Post-Gazette. Notice the good company I keep on the Letters to the Editor page. It is not often you see your letter next to
a letter written by the person the original article was about!
